The Lenten Rose (hellebores) is one of my favorite early signs of spring. This sculptural piece is designed to capture the ephemeral nature and spring flowers. Like a flower plucked from the plant and preserved for years to come.
 
Original mixed media by Julia Fellers-Green (paper clay and acrylic paint) on linen background, framed in hand-guilded shadow box frame. Approximate measurements 9x9x3".  Shadow box is ready to hang or display on table/shelf. 
 
Each piece is a one-of-a-kind piece of art shaped and finished by hand.  As such, they are delicate. Placement in high-humidity (kitchen/bath/outdoors) is not advised.
